Welcome to the Y8 Curriculum Options Page
In this section, you will find a range of information regarding the Year 8 options process; including the options booklet, options/careers curriculum videos and useful links.
We aim to support all students in making fully informed and aspirational options selections in Year 8 and Year 9. We expect all students to study a broad and balanced curriculum which enables them to progress onto post 16 studies and beyond.
Our Key Stage 4 curriculum is divided into compulsory core subjects and a choice of options subjects, as outlined here in the Year 8 options booklet. Most students will study 5 option subjects in year 9, which decreases to 4 option subjects in Year 10.
To make the best choice of subjects to study we suggest parents and students follow our 9- step option process [link to option steps from options booklet].
