Hello and welcome, I feel privileged to have been asked to introduce myself and hope you find it insightful.

I am Tom Cartwright and I teach Science here at Eggar’s. I have been teaching at Eggar’s for over nine years and I started my journey as a trainee. This helped me secure a position and allowed me to understand the curriculum and the department.

The experience of training at Eggar’s was amazing; it soon became apparent how welcoming and relaxed the environment is. It didn’t take me long to feel at home, enabling me to teach in my style and in a way that would truly engage the students.

I am very much looking forward to taking on the responsibility and organisation of the additional trips we have planned this year and making Science relevant to the real world outside the classroom.
