Mr Waite ran an evening electronics workshop for the local Girl Guides and their parents.  The session started with an introduction to electronics including a Health & Safety and  soldering input.  The Guides developed their skills by soldering components onto a practice circuit board before moving onto the main activity of the evening - to make ‘multicoloured’ glowing Minions!

None of the girls had soldered before but by the end of the evening they were all able to populate and solder a circuit board with ease.  Mr Waite commented, "The girls were incredible, they picked up the skill very quickly. I was very impressed with the quality of their soldered joints, every circuit worked first time which was impressive! They were a credit to their pack leader and a delight to teach."
