A perfect way to end the term!
Our FIRST Senior Citizens' Christmas Party since 2019. We were so delighted to welcome over 100 of Alton’s Senior Citizens back to our annual Christmas party.
The event started with Years 7, 8 and 9 Charity Representatives decorating each of the tables, which were then judged by Mr Sullivan and Mrs Headleand. The winning table was created by 7MMB.
Mrs Daish, students and staff greeted our guests before they served a delicious starter followed by roast Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Compliments go to Rosemary Lock and our catering department.
The afternoon continued with well-known festive songs including The Twelve Days of Christmas performed by Year 11 students. Tea and mince pies were served by the PTA before an amazing raffle took place. Prizes had been very kindly donated by Eggar's staff and Wilson's Taxis.
Also, thanks go to the amazing teaching assistants, our fabulous site team for their help during the afternoon, and Top Marks for providing complementary travel.
The afternoon was once again a huge success, and we had many messages of praise for our students from our guests:
" Thank you so very much for starting off our Christmas with such a fantastic luncheon today. We feel privileged to be invited. Everything about the function was absolutely lovely and enjoyable. Good food, warm welcome, extremely efficient 'service' and entertainment to be enjoyed ".
