The Class of 2016 return
A wonderful evening of celebration as the Class of 2016 came back to school to collect their hard earned GCSE certificates. A packed hall saw students in their old Tutor Groups go up on stage to receive congratulations from Head Teacher Mr Sullivan and guest speaker, Anita Pheby, a former Eggar’s Head Girl from sixty years ago. There were also 27 special awards from each curriculum subject which recognised outstanding achievement for things such as creativity, commitment, outstanding effort and attitude. It was a memorable evening not least for the reminiscences of Anita who spoke with such pride and affection of her time at Eggars in the 1950s.

Leadership. Teamwork. Fun! Last Friday Lt Commander Russ Haines from the Royal Navy led a fabulous training day for our student leadership team. Their mobile training apparatus was very similar to a large scale Meccano set! #WeAreEggars https://t.co/9so2z6EtpV https://t.co/IIcLQgmcpn 4:15 PM - 22 May 2022
