An emotional Results Day ...
It was a joy to see our Class of 2021, renamed ‘Our New Heroes of 2021’ in school last week. With examinations cancelled once again this year, it was lovely to see the students with such happy faces as they collected their GCSE grades.
They have been unbelievably focused on their studies before, during and after the most recent lockdown. It was a delight to see them collect their Centre Assessed Grades for which they had worked so hard.
Head Teacher Mr Sullivan commented:
‘I am so proud of this Year Group. They’ve worked so hard throughout the last 18 months of this most unusual year and today, finally, they got their just rewards. There were some fantastic results achieved and thoroughly deserved.
I would also like to thank all the staff who have worked so hard to support the students in achieving such excellent results this year, and who have very carefully and professionally followed all the DfE Guidance in their assessment practice.’
In particular, the following students got some stunning results:
> Matthew Cooke: 3 grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s and 1 Grade 6
> Daniel Ebbutt: 6 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8 and 3 Grade 7s
> Lillie Ewins: 8 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s
> Evie Goros : 4 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
> Joseph Gregory: 4 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
> Anais Kelly: 7 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
