What happened to Ruth Ashdown?
There was a real sense of mystery at the Butts Primary School when our amazing History Department ran a Victorian Day for their Year 5s. The children had to complete a murder mystery challenge: What happened to Ruth Ashdown? They did a treasure hunt to find key pieces of evidence.
All the children and teachers were in full Victorian dress to get into the spirit of the day! The Year 5s were extremely inquisitive and had some excellent theories. The day provided a great picture of what Victorian Britain would have been like.
Not much 'silence in court' last week when the first session of our new Mock Court Club was launched! Another fabulous Eggar's Experience offering, this club is devised and run by Year 7s for Year 7s. https://t.co/I1HPSwALsv #WeAreEggars https://t.co/2Fx5eo29Dy 6:09 PM - 20 Jan 2022
At this month's Lecture Club, there was some thoughtful debate on the difficult topic of eating disorders. Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten gave a heartfelt account of her own personal experience. https://t.co/swU1qbDbPh #WeAreEggars https://t.co/aX0UzdRXf0 2:36 PM - 19 Jan 2022
