Eggar's riders undeterred by difficult winter
Daisy, Anna, Alex and Ellie competed for Eggars at the Berkshire Equestrian Centre on Saturday. There were mixed fortunes for our riders but they all performed really well and were a credit to the school.
Ellie rode some fantastic turns and came 3rd in the 90cm. She has qualified to ride for Hampshire schools at Hartpury later in the year. A fantastic achievement.
Angharad and Edie were competing locally as they were unavailable for the team squad.
A big shout out to all our riders. Horses were in lock down at the beginning of the year and the team has worked really hard to get their horses and ponies fit for competitions. The wet and muddy winter hasn't helped!
And now it turns out this was their last outing for a while. Thanks to coronavirus, most of the equestrian centres are closing and the Pony Club has stopped all activities.

Do the Maths! Year 10 students Libby, Evie, Jess and Cali took up the Alton School Maths Challenge this week. Working with four future Eggar's students from Bentley School, they tackled three rounds of very difficult problem-solving maths. They were fantastic ambassadors https://t.co/onVvrb3qcJ 10:18 PM - 25 Jun 2022
