Brilliant addition to our NCW2020 events
As part of a new initiative during National Careers Week 2020, we introduced our inaugural TEGx Talks.
TEGx - Training, Education & Guidance, Eggar’s is modelled on the TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) format and consists of a series of short, carefully prepared talks on ideas worth spreading to our students.
We had 3 presenters for 3 afternoons in the main hall to talk for about 12 minutes around a specific subject:
- Monday 2 March #Inquiring Mind
- Wednesday 4 March #Pivotal
- Friday 6 March #Responsibility
On Day 1, Lindsay Jacobs talked about the ‘5 whys’ of business and two alumni Connor and Joe spoke about their #Inquiring Minds and how they have shaped their careers.
Day 2 saw 3 amazingly honest talks on #Pivotal from alumni Logan and Sally and school trustee, Dean Paul Phillips.
Day 3 was all about #Responsibility with presentations from Becci Munro, School Liaison at HSDC, Alton and alumni Rob and Jessica.
Our thanks to everyone who made this event so inspiring.
We're looking forward to making it an annual event.
