6 students prepare for Arkwright Scholarship exam
Whilst most Year 11s have finished their current set of exams, these 6 students are busy preparing for a rigorous 2 hour Arkwright Scholarship exam next Thursday.
An Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship of its type in the UK to inspire and nurture school-age students to be the country’s future leading engineers. The Scholarships are awarded to high-calibre 16 year old students through a rigorous selection process and support students through the two years of their A levels or equivalent qualifications.
Support is offered in various different ways depending on the sponsor but it can range from valuable hands-on work experience to a personal mentor who can help with aspects of study and career planning.
Good luck to six of the best: George, Stanley, Tom, Tom, George and Roan

Do the Maths! Year 10 students Libby, Evie, Jess and Cali took up the Alton School Maths Challenge this week. Working with four future Eggar's students from Bentley School, they tackled three rounds of very difficult problem-solving maths. They were fantastic ambassadors https://t.co/onVvrb3qcJ 10:18 PM - 25 Jun 2022

It's Fri-YAY and we're celebrating Matt D and his performance at the National Schools Biathle last weekend. He was placed 2nd in the Year 7 Boys race. (Biathle is an event that can involve a runswimrun course, or simply a swimrun course). #SoundsExhausting #GoMattGo https://t.co/pIe7RXQUpa 6:00 PM - 24 Jun 2022
