Encouraging increased pedal power ...
Over the whole of this week, more than 30 Year 7 students have been enjoying Level 3 Bikeability Training.
Training was provided by Pedal Power, and fully funded by Hampshire County Council Road Safety Team. It is designed to give students additional cycling skills so that they can confidently negotiate complex junctions, roundabouts, multi-lane roads and traffic lights.
The weather couldn't have been better as instructors took out small groups of students on the roads around the school. It was a really useful week and will hopefully encourage more students to continue cycling and ride daily to and from the school.
