Farewell From Mr Sullivan
Dear Parents
The time has come for me to say farewell. It has been my absolute pleasure to, firstly, be Deputy Head Teacher and then Head Teacher of this wonderful school. I would like to thank each and every one of you, the Community, for your support over the years. Leading schools has not got any easier but, with a great staff, amazing students and supportive and informed parents, it certainly makes it all worthwhile.
Over my time at Eggar’s we have had many highs and one or two lows. Being classified Outstanding in every category by Ofsted was certainly a great accolade at the time. Building a brand new ‘purpose built’ Refectory and then a lovely All-weather Astroturf Pitch have also been wonderful additions to our amazing 38-acre site.
However, my highlights and my many memories are all around the wonderful students, staff, parents and governors that have passed through Eggar’s during my stewardship. I shall miss you all!
I will continue to work in the education sector at Winchester University and in supporting schools from time to time. I will offer more time to support the Charity TEABAG as a Trustee and support the 3 schools and a Vocational College in Ghana. I am very proud of the work, the funding, and partnership we have built with Ghana. They need all the help we can give them. I am looking forward to taking more time over my coffee in the morning and trying desperately to improve my two-handed backhand on the tennis court!
Finally, I wish all the best to my successor, Sarah Holman, and I know you will give her all the support you have provided to me.
Thank you
Patrick Sullivan
