Below is a summary of the information included in KS4 Progress Reviews.
If you have any general questions about your child's report, please contact your child’s tutor or Head of School. For subject specific questions, please use enquiries@eggars.hants.sch.uk and name the teacher in the subject line.
The ‘Minimum Expected Grade’ is the grade that your child should meet or exceed, based on prior achievement data.
The 'Eggar's Target' is the grade that we aspire for your child to meet or exceed in their KS4 examinations, based on prior achievement data. This target is reviewed annually and can be adjusted.
The 'Current Grade' is the grade your child is currently working at based on their most recent assessment and other evidence, including classwork and home learning, adjusted to reflect the parts of the course or exam papers that have been covered so far.
The 'Predicted Grade' is the grade teachers predict your child will achieve in their KS4 examinations, based on current assessment data and known grade boundaries.
The ‘AtL (Effort and Attitude to Learning) Grade’ reflects the extent to which your child has achieved the criteria below:
- Demonstrating ‘The Eggar’s Way’ by being ‘Ready, Respectful and Responsible’.
- Quality of work is in line with their ability.
- Completing Home Learning on time and to the best of their ability.
- Focus, engagement, and desire to contribute to lessons.
Effort and Attitude to Learning (AtL) scale:
- Outstanding and exceptionally consistent effort and attitude to learning
- Good effort and attitude to learning
- Inconsistent effort and attitude to learning which may adversely affect achievement
- Unsatisfactory effort and attitude to learning which may have a significant impact on achievement
Where a grade 3 or 4 has been awarded for AtL, the teacher will indicate the area your child needs to improve in to raise this grade, using the codes listed below in the 'AtL Reason' column. If your child has been awarded a 1 or 2 for effort, the ‘AtL Reason’ column will display 'NA'.
A – Attendance, B – Behaviour for Learning, C – Classwork, D – Home Learning, E – Engagement.
