Thanks to our brilliant volunteers and staff we have tested our Year 11 students today. Each student has an appointed time to attend, with the aim of testing 16 students every 12 minutes! The first appointment is at 09.30 with the last at around noon.  On average we are aiming to complete 200 tests a day.

The lateral flow tests are quick and easy using a swab of the nose and throat. Results take around half an hour from testing. The school will inform students and parents of a positive test result. Parents will also receive a text/email notification of a positive or negative result from the online NHS system.

It will be Year 9s tomorrow and next week we are working to the following schedule:

Year 10:  Monday 8 March

Year 8:  Tuesday 9 March

Year 7:  Wednesday 10 March

But there's no rest! We then have to repeat the whole process twice in the next two weeks when the students are back in school.
