We believe that Home Learning encourages students to develop good study habits, fosters their organisational skills and encourages students to deepen their knowledge and understanding. Home Learning at Eggar’s is as essential as the learning that happens in our classrooms. The Educational Endowment Trust states that homework can lead to an average of 5 months progress for secondary school students and there is a clear correlation between homework completion and academic performance. Developing independent study skills helps to prepare students for their future academic life.
All home learning is issued on a Monday and due the following Monday using Arbor.. This makes it easy for students to remember when Home Learning is due and gives students the flexibility to decide when to complete their Home Learning around their other commitments and social time.
Students can access the Arbor website: Log in to your School | Arbor using their normal school e-mail address and password to find their Home Learning Assigments. Parents can log in using the app to see the Assignments too.
