Eggar's School awarded 2nd place
On Tuesday 23 February 90 pupils travelled to Southampton to compete in the Rock Challenge, a massive national dance competition. We were competing as one of 8 schools in our heat from the South of England. All the students had an amazing day. They performed beautifully and were rewarded with 7 awards including Soundtrack, Choreography, Drama, Lighting and Performers choice (voted by all the other schools as the performance they enjoyed watching the most). The judges commented on the excellent characterisation, highly skilled choreography which was performed extremely well for such a large cast. It took the audience on an enchanting journey and visually entertaining and exciting to watch. Eggar’s were delighted to find out overall we had come 2nd. We will now have to wait till the end of March to see if we qualify for the next round, but it was an incredible day and experience for all the students involved.

The Palatine Hill is the centremost of the Seven Hills of Rome and is one of the most ancient parts of the city. It stands 40 metres above the Roman Forum, looking down upon it and upon the Circus Maximus. From the time of Augustus, Imperial palaces were built here. https://t.co/pOiISv7ogR 3:56 PM - 20 Feb 2019
