Public Speaking Winners

The Rotary Club National Youth Speaks Competition.

Three students from Eggar's School participated in The Rotary National Youth Speaks Public Speaking Competition held at the University for Creative Arts in Farnham this month.

The team consisted of Clara, a Year 8 student, and Luca and Aiden, both Year 7 students. They presented a motion on whether dogs should be banned as pets. Luca introduced the topic and Clara and Aiden argued confidently and entertainingly in support of their point of view.

The audience and three judges, who were experts in drama and public speaking, watched the competition. Competing against three other local secondary schools, Eggar’s were the victors and now progress to the next round.
