We are delighted that Eggar’s Year 11 students performed brilliantly in examinations this summer. It was wonderful to see our ‘Class of 2023’ looking so happy when they came to school to collect their GCSE results. In 2023, 37% of Eggar’s students achieved one or more of the top grades! (Grades 7,8,&9)

Year 11 students demonstrated extraordinary resilience and determination through three years of focused GCSE study. This cohort has resolutely overcome the educational barriers caused by the pandemic in March 2020.  They were committed to the revision schedule here at school and it is very satisfying to see that their hard work has paid off with well-deserved grades.

Here are just some of their outstanding results:

79.7% 4+ in English
85.4% 4+ in Maths
98% 4+ in Separate Sciences
75.8% 4+ in Science Combined
21.9% 7+ in English
21.9% 7+ in Maths
356 top grades were gained across a range of subjects.
52 separate grade 9s, 125 grade 8s and 179 grade 7s.
