There were some fantastic discussions at this month's Lecture Club hosted by Ms Woolston. It was on the difficult topic of 'Eating Disorders, Empathy and the Power of Words'. 

Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten gave a heartfelt account of her personal experience of being bullied and the eating disorder that she developed as a child and young adult. She went on to describe how she learned to 'use the dirt' (turning other people's negativity towards her into a positive power) and managed to pull through her illness.

An inspiring lecture which prompted some really thoughtful debate.
